ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥â€™s Disability Inclusion and Action Plan:
Our blueprint to foster inclusivity and awareness

"ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥â€™s philosophy is to ensure that nobody is left behind in terms of accessing the Australian workforce. Since 1982, we have understood the key values of diversity and inclusion are the cornerstones of a constructive, vibrant economy." – CEO Matthew Hick

ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ has been championing the cause of diversity and inclusion since its inception more than 40 years ago. We recognise the immense value that a diverse workforce brings to the table, and it is with this conviction that we present ‘IN @ ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥â€™, our Disability Inclusion and Action Plan (DIAP) 2023-2025.

Officially unveiled at the QLD Sporting Wheelies Clubhouse in August 2023, the DIAP underlines our dedication to improving participation outcomes for individuals living with disabilities. It serves as a guiding light that illuminates our path towards enhancing employment and participation opportunities for people with disabilities, including those with invisible disabilities.

Our objective

The DIAP is designed to fulfill our promise of not leaving anyone behind and is a testament to our continuous commitment to disability inclusion. Our actions and initiatives will be guided by the needs and feedback of our staff, community, and the broader policy and legislative framework.

The four pillars of inclusion

Our action plan revolves around four crucial aspects, which we refer to as the four pillars of inclusion:

  1. Disability inclusive culture
We strive to eliminate barriers and foster awareness for individuals with disabilities. Our goal is to promote a culture that values inclusive attitudes and behaviours.
  2. Accessible and inclusive workplaces
We are committed to increasing the participation of people with disabilities in all facets of ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥â€™s operations.
  3. Supporting access to meaningful employment
We believe in the power of diversity and aim to strengthen it by providing training, volunteer opportunities, workplace experience and meaningful employment for people with disabilities.
  4. Accessible systems and processes
We understand the importance of easy communication and access to information. We are dedicated to improving our service quality, feedback mechanisms, and staff training.
