We will consider any year apprentice, given you are a great fit or you are wanting to start a apprenticeship in wall and floor tiling.
Working and reporting directly to the Business Owner, the successful candidates’ duties will include but not limited to:
- Correct use of tile-cutting tools to cut and shape tiles needed for edges and corners, and around objects such as fittings and pipes.
- Removal and disposal of floor and wall tiles
- Waterproofing to AUS Standards
- Grouting and Epoxy grouting
- Accurate measuring
- Screeding
- Tiling
- Silicone / Caulking skills
- Commercial and residential projects
- Sheeting walls and prepping for tilling
- Installation and tiling of niches
- Self-leveller
Mandatory Role Requirements:
- Own reliable vehicle
- Current driver’s licence
- Available to travel when required
- White Safety Card
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Punctual
- Be trustworthy
- Physically fit and cable
- Attention to detail / high standard of workmanship
- Reliable – excellent time keeping skills
- Customer Service – courteous especially when liaising with customers
- Can follow direction and instruction
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
- Team player
- Tidy and organised
Hours of work: Monday – Friday (some Saturday work may be required; Time will vary depending on customers and current jobs) (7.6-hour days)
